HOWL! GALLERY STUDY

Howl!/Christodora is a collaboration between two historic organizations. One which for years has celebrated, catalyzed and promoted East Village culture, art and residents, and one that personified the neighborhood’s evolution from it’s early days as a hot-bed of immigration and diversity. Locating Howl! in this former housing settlement’s surviving communal facility can provide historical context for provocative voices of the past, present and future. In the surrounding 5 Provocations Mood Boards, we suggest how the material and spatial facility can construct a platform for this discourse.
